PRESALES ENGINEER
Location: Rijeka, Croatia

Adria Electronic, part of VDA Group, operates within an international group specialising in the development of technological solutions for the hospitality industry.

To strengthen our Global Solution Proposition team, we are looking for a Presales Engineer who will support our Sales network in defining technical solutions aligned with customer requirements and preparing complete, competitive and commercially sustainable proposals.
Reporting to the Lead of Presales, the successful candidate will translate customer requirements and project documentation into technical configurations, Bills of Quantities and commercial proposals, working closely with Sales teams and the company’s key technical departments.

Key responsibilities

Analyse customer requirements, technical specifications, electrical drawings, load schedules and project documentation;
Translate project requirements into complete technical configurations for Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) for the hospitality industry;
Define the solution architecture, identifying the required hardware, software, electronic accessories and system integrations;
Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and related cost calculations, ensuring technical completeness, accurate pricing, target margins and overall commercial sustainability;
Provide technical and commercial support to regional and international Sales teams;
Assess the feasibility of integrations with third-party systems, identifying technical constraints, dependencies and potential risks;
Manage the technical analysis of projects and mock-ups, coordinating with the relevant departments to validate the proposed solution;
Prepare preliminary drawings, explanatory diagrams and initial layouts for control panels and other solution components;
Ensure a complete and structured handover of project information to the teams responsible for the subsequent management and execution phases.

Requirements

Previous experience in Presales Engineering, Technical Sales, Application Engineering or technical solution design;
Technical diploma or university degree, preferably in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Telecommunications or a related field;
Experience in developing technical configurations and preparing Bills of Quantities;
Good understanding of hardware and software architectures, automation systems and control technologies;
Good command of Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems;
Excellent written and spoken English, for collaboration with international customers, partners and colleagues;
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS);
Experience in the hospitality technology, building automation or system integration sectors;
Knowledge of automation and control systems for hotel rooms;
Understanding of the installation, configuration and commissioning of technological systems.

Salary Range: Gross Annual Salary 35.000€ - 45.000€
